Congratulations to Lorena Muhaj, MS ’24, for presenting her thesis research at the ASPEN 2025 Nutrition Science & Practice Conference in Columbus, Ohio! Lorena received an IHN Travel Award to support her attendance at the conference, where she shared her work on validating the Kim equation—a tool for estimating muscle mass—as a predictor of sarcopenia, malnutrition, and cachexia in individuals with high BMI and kidney disease.
